UK Student Visas &
Immigration
Here is a brief overview of UK Visa options for international students along with the relevant considerations.

Student Visa
The primary visa route for international students pursuing a full-time course at a UK institution recognised by the Home Office is the UK Student Visa. To be eligible, you need:
-
A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) form from your chosen university
-
Proof of adequate funds to cover tuition and living costs
-
Evidence of meeting English language proficiency requirements
Visas for shorter courses
-
Short-term Study Visa: For courses lasting less than six months, international candidates may be eligible for a short-term study visa.
-
Visitor Visa: In some instances, those engaged in very short courses may have the option of entering the UK on a visitor visa. Please note, work is generally not permitted under this route. Check with the Home Office for the most current regulations.

Graduate Visa
This allows eligible international students with a valid UK bachelor's or higher degree to stay and work (or look for work) in the UK for at least two years (three years for PhD graduates). To qualify, you must have successfully completed an eligible course at a UK higher education provider with a good track record of student immigration compliance.

Important Notes

You typically need to apply for your Student Visa a few months prior to the commencement of your studies.
-
Students on a valid Student Visa may be eligible for part-time work depending on their course level and institution.
